Level one grooming is what is considered maintenance grooming. This is something that you should do at least every other day in order to keep your dog looking healthy and in good condition. This type of grooming involves combing, brushing, teeth cleaning, clipping the tips of toenails, and checking the body for any change. Although most pet owners do this level of grooming once a week, it is advisable to administer this procedure at least twice a week.
Level one type of grooming usually consists of taking the following steps:
1. All over brushing or combing.
2. Massaging the coat to stimulate the skin. This is also a good way to check for any bumps, lumps, rashes, sores, and other changes to the skin.
